It’s Monday 20th, February, and the last day of the Miami Boat Show. The weather has been fantastic and the crowds have been amazing. Thank you to everyone who visited us on board WABI SABI, the Outremer 5X at the Miami Bayside Center. Tomorrow, WABI SABI makes her way back up to Fort Lauderdale, to Just Catamarans’ home base where she will available for showings, upon request.

WABI SABI is a handsome showcase for an owner’s version 5X Outremer. It is with no surprise that her owners very carefully chose the name: WABI-SABI (侘 寂 ) which represents Japanese aesthetics and a Japanese world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”.

Her name encompasses everything endowed by her name. We know boats are never perfect, but she is most certainly a thing of beauty! Furthermore, the emblematic Japanese wave on her hull complements her conquest of the ocean itself.

Below are a few on-the-fly-boat-show pictures that make you feel like you were at the show with us. Better quality pictures will do WABI SABI justice, but for now, these pictures will give you a sneak peek into what Outremer has been up to with the newer 5X model. For those who  know about her trip across from France in November, we will be posting some video and other model information over the next few months.

A word of thanks goes out to our team: Kent Grimbeek, Stuart Eichner, Robert Taylor, Derek  Escher, Dave Koster, Jen Arbelo and everyone else involved who did a great job. If you need to get back into touch with any of those whom you met at the show, please feel free to call anytime.
