Leopard 38 YAH BABY Sold by Derek Escher

Just Catamarans announces the sale of YAH BABY, a 2010 Leopard 38 Catamaran. She was sold by broker Derek Escher who represented the Seller in the deal. YAH BABY was listed for sale at $299,000 at the time of closing.

ABOUT YAH BABY

In the early years of the 21st century, Leopard became a huge player in the catamaran industry. The early boats in general were well finished, sailed moderately well, and gained a foothold in the charter industry. However, South African boats at that time seemed to universally ignore bridge deck clearance across the board. Leopard decided to address this.

In 2007 or so, Robertson and Caine (builders of Leopard) contracted the great American design firm of Morelli and Melvin (Gunboat and others) to design their boats. From 2007, until 2012, Leopard built boats that were elegant, sensible, and pretty exciting to sail. This was a watershed moment for the brand.
