Just Catamarans history
The adventure began.
Both born, raised and married in South Africa, Kent and Belinda Grimbeek decided to take a year to travel before settling down and starting a family.
The option to deliver Admiral Yachts' first Admiral 38 catamaran from Cape Town to the United States came about. In early 1999, Kent and Belinda crossed the Atlantic, Kent with tens of thousands of sea miles under his belt, and Belinda with none. The adventure began.
The catamaran was delivered to a brokerage in Fort Lauderdale to be sold, and this was the beginning of a five-year working relationship with John Sykes, owner of 2Hulls, often referred to as the wise old man of catamarans.
Having each owned their own businesses in South Africa, Kent and Belinda felt the urge to step out on their own once again. Just Catamarans was launched in January of 2004. Another adventure was about to begin.
When Stuart Eichner joined the company as a partner, a strategic partnership was formed with Outremer Catamarans. With the addition of Sales Partner Thomas Chambers, the sales and service team have ramped up their marketing efforts while maintaining the same core values that made Just Catamarans a trusted brand within the catamaran world.
Today, Just Catamarans represents Knysna Catamarans and Windelo Catamarans for North America as an exclusive sales and service center, and Just Catamarans Service is an official Lagoon service center.
