Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in marine electrical systems, with a particular focus on power management, solar integration, and lithium battery technology. This role requires hands-on work, problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch service to our customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain marine electrical systems on sailing catamarans, including wiring, panels, and auxiliary components.
  • Design and implement advanced power management solutions, emphasizing solar energy systems and lithium battery technology.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to ensure safe and reliable operation of all onboard systems.
  • Perform system upgrades and retrofits to meet customer-specific needs and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with the design and service teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into catamaran systems.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining system functionalities.
  • Stay updated on the latest marine electrical technologies, codes, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and maritime regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Marine Electrician, preferably in sailing or yachting industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of DC and AC electrical systems, solar panels, and lithium battery setups.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong understanding of power generation, storage, and distribution in marine environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Certifications in marine electrical systems or a related field are a plus (e.g., ABYC, NMEA).
  • A passion for sustainable energy solutions and sailing is highly desirable.
